Effective Air Distribution and Guaranteed Code Compliance with Greenheck Ventilation Systems

Greenheck Hero

Builders want to be confident that the components they put in their homes will meet code and provide a healthy living environment for homeowners. That’s why Greenheck was the easy choice when it came time for The Picket Fence project team to select its ventilation systems. Providing the only code-compliant-verified ventilation solutions that are rigorously tested and certified for real-world installations at 0.4 in. wg and above, the project team was assured that Greenheck’s ventilation systems would meet code before installation and inspection, while also ensuring homeowner satisfaction and peace of mind.

“As a leading manufacturer in the commercial air movement and control industry, Greenheck has entered modular construction to address the growing demand for effective, code-compliant mechanical ventilation,” says Jim Shelton, Director of Business Development – Residential Ventilation Solutions at Greenheck.  “With our expertise in creating efficient, reliable, and energy-saving ventilation solutions, our goal is to enhance indoor air quality in tightly built homes, ensuring a healthier and more comfortable living environment.”

Greenheck SYNC180 Side-Port Energy Recovery Ventilator

Greenheck’s SYNC180 Side-Port Energy Recovery Ventilator, powered by an EC motor with Constant CFM adaptive, variable-speed technology, features best-in-class core efficiency (84% SRE) and efficacy (CFM/Watt). When paired with the PrecisionSYNC controller, the ERV’s unique duct collar design with built-in piezometer rings allows precise airflow adjustments to meet The Picket Fence’s specific design requirements. This guarantees effective distribution of fresh, healthy air throughout the home while removing unhealthy air and moisture. The unit is also HVI certified for cold weather, offers three select high-speed settings, and features automatic frost prevention.

Greenheck MultiSPEC Ventilation Fan

Greenheck’s MultiSPEC local-exhaust or whole-house ventilation fan models are some of the most cost-effective multipurpose fans on the market. They feature motors with adaptive technology to ensure they provide the air flow necessary to meet bathroom fan code requirements and a low-profile design that easily fits in a 2x4 stud bay and allows for ceiling or wall mount installations. The MultiSPEC models used in The Picket Fence include an integrated humidity sensor that helps control bathroom condensation to prevent mold and mildew.

Greenheck PrecisionSYNC Control

To control all this equipment, The Picket Fence uses Greenheck’s PrecisionSYNC Control, which offers an easy-to-read backlit LCD display, a slim design, and five selection modes of operation. PrecisionSYNC provides Precision Balancing when paired with the SYNC ERVs. The control measures the real maximum airflow capacity of the installed models and enables the installer to dial in precise air flow to meet The Picket Fence’s specific design and code requirements.

“The Picket Fence project exemplifies our expertise in designing affordable Whole House IAQ systems,” Shelton says. “By utilizing our advanced SYNC180 energy recovery ventilators and demand controlled MASTERSPEC and MULTISPEC code-compliant-verified ventilation fans, this cost-effective system ensures healthier, more livable homes compared to traditional construction methods.”
